Chapter 2 - THE DREAM BEFORE THE CALL
Megan woke up at 3:17 AM after having the same dream for the third night in a row.
She was standing in a field.
Someone was calling her name.
But she could never see who it was.
Then she would hear three knocks.
And wake up.
That morning, Megan’s phone rang.
It was her mother.
“Your uncle passed away last night.”
Megan froze.
Her uncle had been healthy.
Then her mother said something that made her stomach drop.
“He was found in his bedroom at exactly 3:17.”
Megan didn’t tell her about the dream.
Not yet.
That night, she went to sleep with her phone beside her.
At 3:17 AM, she woke up.
Three knocks came from the hallway.
Her apartment was empty.
Megan didn’t open the door.

The next morning, she found three small fingerprints on the inside of her bedroom door.
