Chapter 15 - THE WOMAN WHO FINALLY REMEMBERED
Emily didn’t become rich again overnight.
There was no magical comeback.
She had to start from the bottom.
She took a small job.
She apologized to former employees.
She paid back what she could.
She visited people she had hurt.
Some forgave her.
Some didn’t.
And she learned to accept both.
Months later, Emily returned to the restaurant.
She saw another young waitress struggling.
Emily smiled.
She didn’t give her money.
Instead, she handed her a business card.
The girl looked confused.
“What’s this?”
Emily said:
“It’s a chance.”
The girl looked at her.
“Why are you helping me?”
Emily smiled sadly.
“Because someone once helped me.”
The camera slowly pulls away.
Emily watches the girl walk out with the card.
Then the screen fades to black.
TEXT ON SCREEN:
“Never forget the person who opened the first door for you.”
A second line appears:
May you like
“Pride can build an empire. Gratitude keeps it standing.”
