Chapter 13 - THE CLOCK THAT STOPPED
Every clock in the house stopped at 3:17 AM.
Not once.
Every night.
Anna changed the batteries.
It didn’t matter.
Digital clocks.
Wall clocks.
Her microwave.
Even the clock on her phone sometimes froze.
Always 3:17.
She eventually installed a security camera.
For three nights, nothing happened.
On the fourth night, the camera recorded something.
At exactly 3:17 AM, Anna’s bedroom door opened.
Slowly.
Nobody walked through it.
The door simply opened.
Anna watched the footage in the morning.
She decided to leave the house for a few days.
Before leaving, she checked the camera one last time.
There was a new recording.
Timestamp:
3:17 AM.
But it had been recorded that afternoon.
Anna opened it.
The camera showed her standing in the bedroom.
She was looking directly at the camera.
Except Anna was currently sitting in her car.
The video ended with her future self whispering:
