Nobody understood the meaning of her words.
Adrian stared at her.
“What does that mean?”
Madison took a shaky breath.
“My real name is Madison Reed.”

“I changed my identity eight years ago.”
Adrian frowned.
“Why?”
Madison looked toward the window.
“Because my father destroyed my family.”
Nobody moved.
She continued.
“My father worked for Westwood Holdings.”
“He discovered illegal activity inside the company.”
Adrian looked at Caleb.

Madison continued.
“When he tried to expose it…”
She paused.
“They destroyed him.”
Adrian’s expression changed.
“Who?”
Madison looked directly at Margaret.
“Your father.”
The room became ice cold.
Margaret closed her eyes.

Adrian stepped backward.
“My grandfather?”
Madison nodded.
“The Westwood family has been hiding this for decades.”
Natalie looked confused.
“But why marry Adrian?”

“Because she discovered someone else was controlling everything.”
