Chapter 11 - The Truth Written in Blood

Nobody spoke.
The silence inside the vault felt heavier than the secrets hidden within its walls.
Elara stared at her father.
The man she had trusted her entire life.
The man who taught her right from wrong.
The man she believed would always protect her.
“Dad…”
Her voice trembled.
“Did you really sign those documents?”
Arthur looked down.
And for the first time…
He looked afraid.
“I don’t remember.”
Eleanor closed her eyes.
“That’s the problem.”
Arthur turned toward her.
“What are you saying?”
She took a deep breath.
“The night before your accident, you discovered someone was manipulating your company.”
“You confronted them.”
“And they drugged you.”
Elara froze.
“Then how did he sign?”
Eleanor looked at the documents.
“Because he wasn’t himself.”
Julian suddenly spoke.
“That’s why your father hired me.”
Everyone turned toward him.
Elara stared.
“You knew?”
Julian nodded slowly.
“I knew your father was being controlled.”
“Then why didn’t you tell me?”
Julian looked away.
“Because your father begged me not to.”
Arthur looked at him.
“You protected my daughter?”
Julian’s expression became cold.
“I tried.”
Elara shook her head.
“Then why did you hurt me?”
The room went silent.
Julian looked at her.
And for the first time…
The anger in his eyes disappeared.
“I didn’t.”
Elara froze.
“What?”
“The night of the wedding…”
“I found you unconscious.”
“I found the bruises before anyone else did.”
Arthur clenched his fists.
“Then who hurt her?”
Nobody answered.
Until Marcus slowly smiled.
“Now we are finally asking the right question.”
He opened a final folder.
Inside was a security recording.
A timestamp appeared.
Wedding night.
Two hours before the ceremony ended.
Everyone watched.
A figure entered the bridal suite.
A figure wearing Eleanor’s coat.
Elara covered her mouth.
“No…”
Eleanor whispered:
“That’s not me.”
But Marcus pointed at the screen.
“The camera was disabled from inside the room.”
“The only person who knew the security code…”
He looked at Eleanor.
“Was you.”
May you like
Eleanor stepped back.
Because she knew the next truth would destroy her forever.
