Vows of Venom and Blood

Vows of Venom and Blood

Chapter 1: The Bridal Suite

The wedding was supposed to be the happiest day of Elara’s life.

But before the last champagne glass was emptied…

Before the guests even finished celebrating…

The bride was found crying in a locked room, covered in bruises, and begging for someone to save her.

The heavy mahogany doors of the bridal suite exploded open.

The sound ripped through the quiet hallway like a gunshot.

Arthur and Eleanor rushed inside, their faces drained of color.

What they saw stopped them cold.

The elegant bridal suite had turned into a scene of horror.

White lace was scattered across the floor.

Red rose petals were crushed beneath their feet.

And in the corner of the room…

Elara sat curled against the wall, still wearing her expensive wedding gown.

The woman who had walked down the aisle hours earlier with a smile on her face was now trembling like a frightened stranger.

Her arms were covered with bruises and scratches.

Her carefully done makeup was ruined by tears.

She held her knees tightly against her chest, as if trying to disappear from the world.

Arthur froze.

“Elara…”

His voice cracked.

She looked up at him, her eyes filled with fear.

“I can’t stay married to him,” she whispered.

Her voice shook with pain.

“I can’t be his wife.”

Eleanor rushed toward her.

“What happened? Who did this to you?”

Elara’s lips trembled as she looked across the room.

Then she whispered the words that shattered everything.

“Julian…”

“He hates me.”

Silence swallowed the room.

Across the suite, Julian was sitting against the bedframe.

The perfect groom from a few hours ago was gone.

His white dress shirt was ripped open.

Dark bruises covered his chest.

A thin line of blood ran down his face.

But what terrified everyone wasn’t his injuries.

It was the expression in his eyes.

Cold.

Angry.

Dangerous.

He didn’t look like a man who had lost control.

He looked like someone who believed he had the right to hurt someone.

Arthur stepped forward, his hands tightening into fists.

“What did you do to my daughter?”

His voice thundered through the room.

Eleanor stared at Julian, unable to hide her shock.

“Julian, answer me.”

“What happened here?”

Julian slowly lifted his head.

A cruel smile appeared on his lips.

He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and looked directly at Elara.

“She needed to learn a lesson.”

The room went silent.

Arthur’s eyes moved toward the corner of the suite.

A wooden baseball bat rested against the wall.

A wedding gift from Julian’s friends.

In that moment…

Arthur stopped seeing a groom.

He stopped seeing a family member.

He only saw the man who had broken his daughter.

His breathing became heavier.

His grip tightened around the bat.

And before anyone could stop him…

Arthur grabbed it.

His face was filled with a rage no one had ever seen before.

Julian’s expression changed for the first time.

Because he realized something.

The man standing in front of him wasn’t afraid anymore.

Arthur raised the bat.

And the next second…

Everything in the bridal suite was about to change forever.
