Chapter 4 - Victoria’s Perfect Lie

Victoria entered the office slowly.

She did not look scared.

She looked prepared.

Ethan held the paper in his hand.

“What does this mean?”

Victoria smiled.

“You broke into my office?”

“You wrote this.”

She looked at the page.

Then sighed.

“You don’t understand.”

Ethan stepped closer.

“Then explain.”

Victoria walked toward him.

“She was a thought.”

“A frustration.”

“Not a plan.”

Ethan stared at her.

“You wrote about removing my son.”

Victoria’s expression changed.

“Your son?”

The words were quiet.

But Ethan heard them.

“You mean Leo is not yours?”

Victoria immediately looked away.

A second too late.

Ethan noticed.

“What did you mean?”

“No.”

She shook her head.

“You’re twisting my words.”

But Ethan already knew.

There was a secret.

A big one.

Victoria quickly changed direction.

“You’re letting a maid manipulate you.”

“Clara?”

“Yes.”

“She wants your attention.”

“She wants this family.”

Ethan laughed bitterly.

“You’re blaming the woman who protected my son?”

Victoria’s face hardened.

Then she pulled out her phone.

“I can prove Clara is lying.”

She showed him a video.

A video of Clara holding Leo.

The angle made it look suspicious.

But Ethan noticed something.

The timestamp.

The video had been edited.

He looked at Victoria.

“You made this.”

Her smile disappeared.

For the first time…

Ethan saw panic.

Then his phone rang.

It was the family lawyer.

Ethan answered.

“Sir…”

The lawyer sounded nervous.

“You need to come immediately.”

“Why?”

There was a pause.

“Because someone tried to change Leo’s custody documents.”

Ethan looked at Victoria.

She was already pale.

And then the lawyer said:

“The person who signed the request…”

“Was your wife.”
