Richard lost control faster than Ethan expected.

“You ruined everything.”

“You saved him.”

“I almost failed him.”

Not from Victoria.
From Adrian.
“Meet me alone. I know the truth about Leo’s birth.”
Ethan hesitated.
But he went.
At the abandoned warehouse…
Adrian was waiting.
“You came.”
“Tell me the truth.”
Adrian looked serious.
“Leo was never supposed to be part of their plan.”
“What plan?”
“To take control of your company.”
Ethan stared.
“Then why was Leo involved?”
Adrian looked down.
“Because Leo was the only thing they could use against you.”
A long silence followed.
Then Adrian said:
“There is something else.”
“What?”
Adrian handed him a file.
“The DNA test.”
Ethan opened it.
His hands froze.
Because the result was not what he expected.

Leo was not Adrian’s son either.
