The meeting took place in an abandoned mansion outside the city.
Five families.
Five leaders.
One goal.
Destroy Damiano Verrone.
Silvio smiled when Damiano entered.
“You came alone.”
Damiano sat down.
“You expected me not to?”
Silvio laughed.
“The old Damiano would never risk himself.”
Damiano looked at him.
“The old Damiano had nothing to lose.”
The room went quiet.
Silvio’s smile disappeared.
“You really believe that child changed you?”
Damiano said nothing.
“She is a weakness.”
“No.”
Damiano leaned forward.
“She is the reason I remember I am human.”
Nobody expected that answer.
Silvio stood.
“You think love makes you stronger?”
Damiano looked at him.

Silvio pressed a button.
A screen turned on.
Security footage appeared.
Mia walking through the mansion.
Everyone watched.
Damiano’s expression changed.
Silvio smiled.
“Beautiful, isn’t she?”
A dangerous silence filled the room.
Damiano slowly stood.
“What did you do?”
Silvio laughed.
“Nothing yet.”
Then Damiano’s phone rang.
It was Rafael.
His voice was urgent.
“Boss…”
“What happened?”
“Mia is missing.”
Everything stopped.
Damiano’s face changed.
For the first time…
The five families saw something they never expected.
Fear.
Real fear.
Damiano Verrone walked out of the room.
No threats.
No anger.
