Emily confronted Claire.
The woman she once called family.
“Why?”
Claire cried.
“I was angry.”
“That’s not an answer.”
Claire admitted everything.
She helped Ryan access information.
She helped create the fake documents.
But she claimed she never wanted Emily dead.
“I only wanted what was mine.”
Emily stared at her.
“You wanted my life.”
Claire had no response.
Then Ethan entered.
He heard everything.
His face broke.
“Aunt Claire…”
She looked at him.
“You lied too.”
Claire started crying.
But Emily noticed something.
Claire was scared.
Not guilty.
Scared.
“What aren’t you telling me?”
Claire looked toward the window.
“He’ll kill me.”

“Who?”

“Ryan.”
