He knew everything about her pregnancy.

And Ethan, acting under financial authority, could approve a corporate restructuring favorable to Whitmore Capital.
The missing ring was only supposed to accelerate the plan.
Claire’s pregnancy was further along.
Richard’s financial problems were worsening.
