The safety deposit box was opened under court supervision.
Inside were three things:
A photograph.
A handwritten letter.
And a second recorder.
The photograph showed Daniel holding baby Emma.
On the back were six words:
"If anything happens to me, protect her."
The judge opened the letter.
Daniel’s handwriting appeared.
"Victoria knows the truth. She was never my friend. She wanted my company, my money, and my daughter."
The courtroom went silent.
Victoria’s perfect image began collapsing.
But the biggest shock was still coming.
The second recorder contained Daniel’s final message.
His voice trembled.
“If you are hearing this… I failed to protect Emma.”
