Chapter 10 - The Woman Who Carried The Rossi Blood

The old warehouse had been abandoned for years.

Broken windows.

Dust-covered floors.

Rusting metal everywhere.

But to Leo Rossi, this place held something more valuable than his entire empire.

The truth.

He stood in the center of the building, staring at the woman who shared his blood.

His sister.

Lena.

For years, he had believed his family was destroyed because of his mother’s death.

Now he discovered his family had been broken long before that.

Someone had spent decades erasing people from his life.

First his mother.

Then his sister.

And maybe even the truth about himself.

“You knew about me?”

Lena looked down.

“I knew your name.”

“But I never knew if you were still alive.”

Leo felt a deep pain inside his chest.

“How?”

“How could you know I existed and never come for me?”

Lena looked at Maria.

“She made me promise.”

Leo turned.

“Mom?”

Maria’s eyes filled with tears.

“I was trying to protect both of you.”

“From who?”

Maria looked at him.

“Your father.”

The anger returned instantly.

Leo clenched his fists.

“Victor.”

Maria nodded.

“He believed that if he controlled the Rossi empire, nobody could challenge him.”

“But your grandfather changed everything.”

“He secretly changed the inheritance.”

“He left everything to his grandchildren.”

“To you and Lena.”

Leo looked at Lena.

“So Anthony and Victor wanted us gone.”

“Yes.”

Lena answered quietly.

“They didn’t want children with the Rossi name.”

“They wanted complete control.”

Suddenly, the warehouse lights turned on.

Everyone froze.

Daniel reached for his weapon.

A slow clap echoed through the building.

“Well done.”

A voice came from the shadows.

Victor Rossi stepped forward.

Leo’s face darkened.

“You followed us.”

Victor smiled.

“You still think this is about finding your family.”

“It isn’t.”

“It is about understanding why your family had to disappear.”

Lena stepped back.

“You.”

Victor looked at her.

“I thought Anthony handled you years ago.”

Leo moved forward.

“What did you do to her?”

Victor looked at him.

“You really don’t understand.”

“You think I’m the villain.”

“You think Anthony is the villain.”

“But the truth is much bigger.”

Leo narrowed his eyes.

“What are you talking about?”

Victor smiled.

“Ask your mother why she never told you who your real enemy was.”

Maria looked terrified.

Leo turned.

“Mom?”

She didn’t answer.

And that silence was enough.

Because once again…

There was another secret.
