Chapter 5 - The Betrayal Inside The Mansion
Victor looked around the room.
Nobody spoke.
“Who helped you?”
Adrian placed several documents on the table.
“Your own security manager.”
Victor laughed.
“That’s impossible.”
Adrian shook his head.
“You paid him to protect your secrets.”
“He decided to protect the truth instead.”
The screen changed.
A hidden recording appeared.
Victor’s security manager was sitting in an office.
Speaking about everything he had witnessed.
Every threat.
Every argument.
Every moment Lena was afraid.
Victor clenched his fists.
“You betrayed me.”
The security manager’s recorded voice replied.
“No.”
“I stopped helping you hurt her.”
Lena watched silently.
For the first time in years…
Someone else was speaking for her.
But then another file appeared.
Adrian’s expression changed.
Because this was something even he did not expect.
“This cannot be real.”
Helen looked at him.
“What?”
Adrian stared at the document.
