Chapter 7 — The Final Battle for the Truth

The trial lasted six months.

Every secret came out.

Every lie collapsed.

The sailors I saved testified.

The investigators revealed the evidence.

And finally…

I stood before the court.

The prosecutor asked:

“Captain Soler, after everything your family did, why did you return?”

The courtroom waited.

I looked at my father.

Then my brother.

Then the people who once believed their lies.

“I didn't return for revenge.”

A pause.

“I returned because someone needed to tell the truth.”

The courtroom became silent.

“I survived the explosion.”

“But my family spent five years trying to make sure nobody knew.”

I looked at the judge.

May you like

“And that is why I am here.”

“To make sure nobody else is erased.”
