Chapter 4 — The Secret Inside the Shipwreck
Admiral Rueda contacted me three days later.
“There is something you need to see.”
He took me to the naval archives.
Inside was a sealed investigation file.
But there was one missing piece.
A recording from the night of the explosion.
The final message from my ship.
I pressed play.
Static filled the room.
Then my own voice appeared.
“Command, we have discovered unauthorized modifications to the engine system.”
I froze.
Because I remembered.
That night.
The crew wasn't fighting a mechanical failure.
Someone had sabotaged the ship.
The recording continued.
“If something happens to us, investigate Soler Defense Industries.”
My father’s company.
The room became silent.
Admiral Rueda looked at me.
“You were trying to expose them before the explosion.”
I nodded slowly.
May you like
“I found the truth.”
“And they tried to bury you with it.”
