Chapter 13 - Shattered Realities
The magnetic tape exploded into a cloud of black ribbon and sparks.
A deafening shriek tore through the cavern as the temporal anchor snapped in half.
The liquid shadow suspended over the well violently collapsed into itself, creating a gravitational pull that sucked in the collectors.
Clara screamed as her skin fractured into bright lines of white light.
"What have you done?!" she shrieked, her form unraveling into pure static. "You'll erase everything!"
"Good," Noah said, standing his ground as the cave disintegrated around him.
The ceiling caved in, sending tons of earth and ancient stone crashing down into the abyss.
Noah felt himself falling upward through layers of light, noise, and memories.
He saw the chapel burning, the 1950s cruiser dissolving into dust, and the yellowed newspaper tearing into thousands of blank white pages.
