Chapter 13 - The Final Move

The investigation inside my company began immediately.
And what we found shocked everyone.
Daniel wasn’t acting alone.
Three executives had been helping him.
They had been moving money.
Changing contracts.
Creating fake losses.
The goal was simple.
Destroy my company.
Force me out.
Then take control.
But they made another mistake.
They forgot one thing.
I built that company from nothing.
I knew every system.
Every person.
Every weakness.
And now…
I knew theirs.
The board meeting was scheduled for Friday morning.
Daniel walked in confidently.
He thought he was about to remove me.
He wore an expensive suit.
A perfect smile.
“Michael.”
He nodded.
“Ready to discuss your resignation?”
The room became silent.
I looked around.
Everyone was waiting.
I placed a folder on the table.
“No.”
Daniel frowned.
“I think you misunderstood.”
“No.”
I smiled.
“You did.”
I opened the folder.
The first document appeared on the screen.
Financial transfers.
Then another.
Security footage.
Then another.
Recorded conversations.
Daniel’s face slowly changed.
“This is impossible.”
I looked at him.
“No.”
“This is what happens when you underestimate someone who spent years trusting you.”
He stood up.
“You’re making a mistake.”
I shook my head.
“The mistake was calling you my brother.”
The room went silent.
Then Daniel said something that surprised everyone.
“You think you’re better than us?”
I stared at him.
“No.”
“I think I’m finally done protecting people who hurt my family.”
Security entered the room.
The executives were removed.
But Daniel had one last card.
As he was leaving…
He smiled.
“You still haven’t found everything.”
I watched him disappear.
Because I knew.
May you like
He was right.
There was still one secret left.
