Chapter 14 - The Wolf Returns Home

Six months later, Vale Global was no longer the same company.

The old council was gone.

The hidden operations were exposed.

The people responsible for the crimes faced justice.

But rebuilding trust was harder than rebuilding a company.

People remembered the darkness.

And they had every right to.

So I changed everything.

The private accounts were audited.

The secret divisions were dissolved.

The employees who had been silenced for years finally had voices.

Vale Global stopped being an empire built around fear.

It became a company built around responsibility.

Some people called it weakness.

They were wrong.

---

Luca struggled at first.

Thirteen years of hiding didn’t disappear overnight.

Sometimes he woke up believing he was still trapped.

Sometimes he looked at Emma like he was afraid she would disappear.

But every morning, she reminded him.

“Daddy.”

“Yes?”

“You’re here.”

And every time she said it…

I saw my brother heal a little more.

---

Adrian also changed.

For most of his life, he believed revenge was the only thing keeping him alive.

But Emma changed him.

She didn’t care that he was the forgotten heir.

She didn’t care that the family had erased him.

She only saw him as someone who needed a place.

A family.

One afternoon, I found him teaching her how to draw.

The same wolf symbol.

“You’re getting soft.”

He looked at me.

“Careful.”

A small smile appeared.

“I might start liking you.”

I laughed.

“Impossible.”

“Probably.”

For the first time, the three Vale brothers stood together.

Not competing.

Not fighting.

Together.

Something that had never happened before.

---

But peace never lasted forever.

One evening, Daniel arrived with information.

“Sebastian.”

I looked at him.

“What now?”

He placed a folder on my desk.

“We found the final person connected to Project Wolf.”

I opened the folder.

A name.

A person I didn’t recognize.

“Who is this?”

Daniel hesitated.

“The person who funded Richard Hale.”

I looked at the photograph.

A businessman.

Older.

Powerful.

Someone outside the Vale family.

“What does he want?”

Daniel looked serious.

“Control of Vale Global.”

I closed the folder.

“Then he picked the wrong family.”

---

The attack came two weeks later.

Not with guns.

Not with soldiers.

With information.

False documents.

Media attacks.

Financial pressure.

Someone was trying to destroy us publicly.

But this time, we were ready.

Because we weren’t hiding.

We didn’t need secrets.

We didn’t need lies.

We faced the world openly.

And the world saw something it never expected.

The Vale family united.

---

During the final confrontation, I met the man behind everything.

His name was Alexander Kane.

A former business partner of my grandfather.

A man who believed the Vale fortune belonged to whoever could take it.

“You’re just like your ancestors.”

He smiled.

“You think family makes you strong.”

I looked at him.

“No.”

He frowned.

“Then what does?”

I answered:

“Knowing you’re not fighting alone.”

Behind me stood Luca.

Adrian.

Mateo.

Daniel.

And everyone who had chosen the truth over power.

Alexander realized too late.

He wasn’t fighting one man.

He was fighting a family.

---

The battle lasted months.

But eventually, the truth won.

Alexander’s crimes were exposed.

His empire collapsed.

And for the first time in generations…

May you like

The Vale name was free.
