The next morning, Emily discovered another secret.
A letter arrived at her apartment.
Inside was a photograph.
Daniel.
Victoria.
And a young woman she had never seen before.
The letter contained one sentence:
“Ask your husband who Clara is.”
Emily felt her hands shake.
She immediately called Daniel.
“Who is Clara?”
Silence.
Then Daniel whispered:
“Emily…”
“Who is she?”
Before Daniel answered, Victoria grabbed the phone.
“Some things are better left buried.”
Emily’s expression changed.
