Daniel followed Emily to the parking area.
“Emily, wait!”
She stopped.

“What truth?”
Daniel became silent.

“What have you been hiding?”
Daniel looked away.
For the first time that day, he looked afraid.
Victoria appeared behind him.
“Daniel doesn’t know how to explain it.”
Emily looked at her.
“Then explain it for him.”
Victoria smiled nervously.
“The wedding was never supposed to happen today.”
