Chapter 6: The Child From The Blue Room

Chapter 6: The Child From The Blue Room

Ryan stared at the birth certificate.

He read the name again.

And again.

But the words refused to make sense.

Father: Ryan Anderson.

His hands began to shake.

"No..."

His assistant looked concerned.

"Mr. Anderson?"

Ryan quickly closed the folder.

"Where did you get this?"

The assistant hesitated.

"It was hidden in an old medical archive connected to Anderson Family Foundation records."

Ryan looked at the document.

A cold feeling spread through his body.

Seven years ago.

The same year Emma became pregnant.

The same year everything fell apart.

"Who is the mother?"

His assistant swallowed.

"We don't know yet."

Ryan stood up.

"Find out."

His voice was low.

"Find out everything."

Meanwhile, Emma stood in front of the blue door.

The entire mansion felt different.

For years, she had walked these halls carrying cleaning supplies.

She had wiped these floors.

Polished these tables.

Served these people.

But she never knew...

A secret was hidden only a few steps away.

Victoria stood behind her.

"You don't understand what you're about to uncover."

Emma didn't look back.

"Seven years ago, I didn't understand anything."

Her hand touched the lock.

"I didn't understand why Ryan left."

She paused.

"I didn't understand why you hated me."

Her fingers tightened.

"And I didn't understand why everyone thought I deserved to suffer."

Emma turned.

"But I understand one thing now."

Her eyes met Victoria's.

"You were all afraid of the truth."

Victoria looked away.

That reaction told Emma everything.

The lock finally opened.

The blue room door slowly moved.

A cold silence escaped.

Emma stepped inside.

The room was not abandoned.

It was preserved.

Like someone had been waiting.

There were children's drawings on the walls.

Small toys on shelves.

A little bed near the window.

Emma stopped breathing.

A child's room.

But not Lily's.

Her eyes moved across the room.

A framed photograph sat on the table.

She picked it up.

Her hands froze.

The picture showed Ryan.

Seven years younger.

Holding a small baby.

Beside him stood...

Victoria.

But the baby wasn't Lily.

Emma looked at Victoria.

"What is this?"

Victoria didn't answer.

"Who is this child?"

Still nothing.

Emma's voice became sharper.

"Who is this child?"

Victoria finally whispered:

"His name is Noah."

The room went silent.

"Noah?"

Victoria nodded.

"He was born six months before Lily."

Emma stared at her.

"Ryan had another child?"

Victoria closed her eyes.

"Yes."

Emma felt confused.

Then angry.

"With who?"

Victoria's silence lasted too long.

Emma already knew the answer would hurt.

Finally...

Victoria said:

"With my assistant."

Emma froze.

The woman who had worked for the Anderson family.

The woman who was always around Victoria.

The woman Emma remembered seeing several times seven years ago.

"Why didn't Ryan know?"

Victoria looked at the floor.

"Because I made sure he didn't."

The words hit Emma harder than she expected.

Not because Ryan had another child.

But because she finally understood.

Her entire life had been controlled by lies.

Victoria had not only separated her from Ryan.

She had been manipulating everyone.

"Why?"

Emma whispered.

"Why would you do this?"

Victoria's eyes filled with tears.

And for the first time...

Emma saw something she never expected.

Regret.

"I thought I was protecting my family."

Emma laughed bitterly.

"Protecting them?"

She pointed toward the room.

"You hid a child."

Victoria looked broken.

"I made mistakes."

"No."

Emma shook her head.

"You made choices."

A sound came from the doorway.

Both women turned.

Ryan stood there.

He had heard everything.

His face was destroyed.

"Noah?"

Victoria looked terrified.

"Ryan..."

"You knew?"

His voice cracked.

"You knew I had another child?"

Victoria stepped toward him.

"I was trying to handle it."

Ryan backed away.

"Handle it?"

He laughed in disbelief.

"You erased my son from my life."

Silence.

Then Ryan looked at Emma.

And something changed.

Because suddenly he understood.

Emma wasn't the only person Victoria had hurt.

She had destroyed everyone around her.

That night, Ryan went to the hospital where Noah had been born.

He needed answers.

He needed to know why his own mother hid his child.

The doctor searched old files.

Then came back with a strange expression.

"Mr. Anderson..."

"What?"

"There is something you should know."

Ryan stood.

"What?"

The doctor placed another file on the table.

"Your son Noah's medical records were transferred seven years ago."

Ryan frowned.

"Transferred where?"

The doctor hesitated.

"To a private facility owned by..."

He looked at the paper.

"Carter Global."

Ryan froze.

"Carter Global?"

The doctor nodded.

"Yes."

Ryan's mind raced.

Why would Emma's company have anything to do with Noah?

Then a terrifying possibility entered his mind.

A possibility that connected everything.

Emma didn't return to the Anderson mansion because of revenge.

She returned because she already knew something.

Something about Noah.

Back at the mansion...

Emma sat beside Lily.

Her daughter was sleeping peacefully.

But Emma couldn't stop thinking.

Another child.

Another secret.

Another life destroyed by the Anderson family.

Her phone suddenly rang.

Her assistant.

"Ms. Carter."

Emma answered.

"Did you find anything?"

There was silence.

Then:

"Yes."

Emma stood.

"What?"

Her assistant lowered his voice.

"The medical records show something impossible."

Emma felt her heart tighten.

"What?"

"The child named Noah..."

A pause.

"His DNA records were altered."

Emma froze.

"Altered by who?"

The answer came quietly.

"By someone inside the Anderson family."

Emma looked toward the mansion.

Toward the room where Victoria kept her secrets.

And she finally understood.

The Anderson family wasn't hiding one mistake.

They were hiding an entire history.

But the biggest question remained...

If Noah was Ryan's son...

Why had Carter Global protected him?

And why had Emma's own company been involved?

Because the truth was about to reveal something even more shocking.

Noah wasn't just connected to Ryan.

May you like

He was connected to Emma.
