Chapter 14 – Isabella's Last Move
Two officers approached Isabella.
She suddenly grabbed a champagne bottle from a nearby table.
The bottle shattered against the marble floor.
Guests screamed.
She held the broken glass toward anyone who came close.
"No one touches me."
Nathan stepped forward.
"Enough."
"You took my son."
"You destroyed my family."
Isabella laughed bitterly.
"You already destroyed it."
"You were too blind to see what was happening around you."
She reached into her evening purse.
Everyone froze.
Instead of a weapon...
She pulled out a small remote.
Grace immediately remembered the underground alarms.
"The basement."
She whispered.
"The evidence."
Isabella pressed the button.
Nothing happened.
Her expression changed.
Detective Brooks calmly held up a second remote.
"We removed the explosives ten minutes ago."
"The bomb squad found them after Grace showed us the tunnels."
For the first time that evening...
Fear appeared in Isabella's eyes.
Officers handcuffed her without resistance.
At the same moment, another team arrested the doctor and two contractors who had secretly built the underground prison.
The entire conspiracy began to unravel.
