Chapter 5: Finding Sarah

Three days after the wedding disaster, Daniel found Sarah.
Not in a mansion.
Not in a luxury apartment.
But in a small neighborhood bakery.
She was working behind the counter.
Simple clothes.
No expensive jewelry.
No designer dresses.
Just Sarah.
The woman he had accused of chasing money.
When she saw him...
she froze.
"Daniel?"
He couldn't speak.
For the first time in years, he had no excuse.
No explanation.
Only regret.
"I'm sorry."
Sarah looked away.
"Sorry doesn't give Leo his childhood back."
Her words hurt because they were true.
Daniel lowered his head.
"I know."
Then Leo ran into the bakery.
"Mom!"
Sarah smiled.
But when Leo saw Daniel...
he stopped.
A moment passed.
Then Daniel kneeled.
Not as a powerful businessman.
Not as a wealthy man.
Just as a father who had lost too much time.
"I was wrong, buddy."
Leo stared at him.
"I should have listened."
A tear rolled down Daniel's face.
"I should have protected you."
Slowly...
Leo walked forward.
And hugged him.
Daniel held his son tightly.

Because he knew forgiveness was not something he deserved.
It was something Leo chose to give.
