Lucas followed Clara to an old warehouse.
Inside was a man holding old photographs.
“My name is Daniel.”
“I’m Emma’s brother.”
Lucas was shocked.
“Why didn’t she tell me?”
Daniel looked down.
“Because she was afraid.”
“Afraid of who?”
Daniel looked at him.
“Vanessa.”
Lucas refused to believe it.
Until Daniel showed him a recording.
A recording from weeks before Emma’s death.
Vanessa was there.
Arguing with Emma.
And Emma was saying one sentence.
