The next morning, Blackwood Industries prepared for the most important meeting in company history.
Victor entered the boardroom with confidence.
He smiled at the executives.
“Today, we secure the future of this company.”
Everyone believed Ethan was dead.
Everyone believed Victor had won.
Then the doors opened.
The entire room went silent.
Ethan Blackwood walked inside.
Alive.
Victor’s smile disappeared.
“You…”
Ethan placed the poisoned tea cup on the table.
“I brought something you recognize.”
The executives looked confused.
Victor tried to stay calm.
“You are making a mistake.”
Ethan looked at the board members.
“My uncle tried to murder me.”
Shock spread across the room.
Victor immediately attacked.
“He is unstable.”
“He lost his wife and daughter years ago.”
“He is imagining things.”
Then the elevator doors opened.
Lily walked inside.
The room froze.
Victor’s face turned white.
Because the child he erased was standing in front of him.
Alive.
One board member whispered.
“Is that…”
Ethan answered.
“Yes.”
“My daughter.”
But before Ethan could reveal everything, the lights suddenly went out.
