Chapter 2 - THE WIFE WHO NEVER DIED

Ethan thought losing Amelia was the worst pain he would ever experience.

He was wrong.

Finding out she had been alive for seven years broke something inside him.

Lily handed him a hidden phone.

The screen showed a live camera feed.

A woman was lying unconscious inside a private medical facility.

Her face was thinner.

Her body was weaker.

But Ethan recognized her immediately.

“Amelia…”

His voice cracked.

The woman he buried was breathing.

The woman he cried over was still alive.

Then the door opened.

Victor Blackwood entered the room.

Ethan’s uncle.

The man who comforted him after the hospital fire.

The man who told him to accept his family was gone.

Victor walked toward Amelia holding a syringe.

Lily grabbed Ethan’s hand.

“He said after you died, Mommy would disappear forever.”

Ethan’s anger became something colder.

For seven years, Victor had stolen his family.

For seven years, Victor watched him suffer.

Ethan immediately called security.

But Victor was not in the mansion.

He was already preparing for the next morning’s board meeting.

The meeting where he planned to take control of Blackwood Industries.

And he believed Ethan would never arrive.

Because Victor believed the poison had already worked.

He did not know Ethan was coming.

And he did not know Ethan was bringing the daughter he tried to erase.
