Chapter 5 — Victoria’s Final Attempt

Months later, Victoria’s lawyers prepared her defense.

They claimed she had suffered emotional stress.

They claimed Nathan exaggerated.

They claimed the children misunderstood.

Then Victoria made one final mistake.

She requested a private meeting with Nathan.

“I want my family back.”

Nathan looked at her.

“Family?”

Victoria cried.

“I made mistakes.”

Nathan remained silent.

Then he placed a small recording device on the table.

“Do you remember saying they embarrassed you?”

Victoria froze.

“You recorded me?”

“No.”

Nathan looked at her.

“I recorded the truth.”

Because during the meeting, Victoria admitted everything.

She admitted the punishments.

The threats.

The basement.

The years of fear.

Her own words destroyed the last defense she had.

The trial became national news.
