Chapter 3 — The Woman Everyone Loved Was Finally Exposed

Victoria woke up believing she could fix everything.

She walked into the dining room wearing an expensive dress.

Perfect hair.

Perfect makeup.

Perfect smile.

“Nathan, we need to talk.”

Nathan sat silently.

The children were beside him.

Victoria looked uncomfortable.

“You’re making this bigger than it is.”

Nathan placed the journal on the table.

Her expression changed.

For the first time…

Victoria looked afraid.

“Where did you get that?”

Nathan leaned forward.

“The question is…”

“Why did you write it?”

Victoria’s confidence disappeared.

She tried to explain.

She blamed stress.

She blamed pressure.

She blamed the children.

But every excuse made Nathan colder.

“You hurt them because they weren’t perfect?”

Victoria whispered:

“You don’t understand what it takes to maintain this family image.”

Nathan stared at her.

“No.”

“I understand now.”

“You cared more about the image of being a mother…”

“than actually being one.”

That sentence destroyed her.

Victoria had always believed money protected her.

Her name protected her.

Her reputation protected her.

She was wrong.

Nathan filed for emergency custody.

He contacted authorities.

And when investigators arrived at Harrington Mansion…

they found everything.

The basement.

The hidden records.

The evidence.

The truth Victoria had buried for years.
