Chapter 5: The Night Everything Changed
Daniel realized something was wrong.
The next evening, he confronted Emma.
"You talked."
Emma froze.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
Daniel stepped closer.
"You think someone can protect you?"
Before he could continue, the mansion lights turned on.
Michael stood at the entrance.
"Actually..."
Daniel turned.
"I can."
For the first time, Daniel looked afraid.
Police officers entered behind Michael.
Daniel tried to deny everything.
But the evidence was overwhelming.
The recordings.
The reports.
The witnesses.
The truth could no longer be hidden.
As Daniel was taken away, Emma stood silently.
Watching the person who controlled her life finally lose control.
Michael approached her.
"It's over."
