Chapter 3: The Man From The Shadows

That night, Jack stayed at the farmhouse.

He couldn’t leave Emily alone.

Around midnight, he heard footsteps outside.

Someone was inside the shed.

Jack grabbed his flashlight and moved silently.

Inside, a man was standing beside Emily.

The stranger looked shocked when Jack entered.

“You’re alive…”

Jack raised his weapon.

“Who are you?”

The man slowly turned.

His eyes moved to Emily.

Then back to Jack.

“My name is Daniel.”

Jack tightened his grip.

“Why were you touching that child?”

Daniel’s voice broke.

“Because I’ve been looking for her for five years.”

Emily suddenly woke up.

And when she saw Daniel, she whispered:

“Daddy?”
