Chapter 4: Home Again

Three months later...

The Castillo mansion looked completely different.

The servant quarters were empty.

Every employee who had been threatened by Vivian received compensation, new homes, and lifetime financial support from Alejandro.

Vivian Moretti and Diego Castillo were convicted of kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, fraud, identity theft, and conspiracy.

Both received lengthy prison sentences.

As for Elena...

Freedom felt unfamiliar.

Some nights she still woke from nightmares, convinced someone would drag her back into the basement where she had spent countless nights locked behind steel doors.

Alejandro never rushed her.

He simply stayed beside her.

One evening, they stood together on the mansion balcony as the rain gently fell again.

Not as a storm.

But as a quiet beginning.

"I'm sorry," Alejandro whispered.

"I searched the whole world..."

"...when you were here all along."

Elena took his hand.

"You never stopped looking."

"And that's why I'm still here."

For the first time in three years...

She smiled.

A real smile.

Inside the mansion, laughter echoed once more as the former servants gathered for dinner—not as employees, but as honored guests.

Alejandro looked around the home that had nearly been stolen from them.

This time, it truly belonged to the people who loved one another.

Because wealth could rebuild walls.

Justice could punish evil.

But only love...

Could bring a family home.
