Chapter 2: The Stranger Who Changed Everything

Chapter 2: The Stranger Who Changed Everything

Alexander slowly walked toward the red gown.

Then he looked at Emma.

“Put it on.”

The entire boutique went silent.

Emma blinked.

“Excuse me?”

“The dress.”

Victoria immediately stepped forward.

“Mr. Reed, that gown is from our exclusive collection. We cannot allow—”

“I’ll buy it.”

Victoria stopped talking.

Alexander didn’t even look at her.

“I’ll pay ten times the price if necessary.”

Everyone stared.

Emma shook her head.

“I can’t accept that.”

Alexander’s expression softened.

“You don’t understand.”

A strange emotion appeared in his eyes.

“You’re not wearing it because I want to prove something.”

“Then why?”

He looked at her carefully.

“Because someone once told me you would look beautiful wearing red.”

Emma felt confused.

She had never met this man before.

At least…

She thought she hadn’t.

Minutes later, she stepped out of the fitting room.

The boutique became silent.

The red gown transformed her.

Not because of the dress.

Because for the first time, Emma saw herself the way others should have seen her.

Beautiful.

Confident.

Important.

But Alexander wasn’t looking at the dress.

He was looking at her face.

His hands began trembling.

Because he knew.
