The room went silent as Daniel pressed play.

Trevor’s voice filled the living room.

“You’re lucky I still put up with you.”

Then the sound of something crashing.

Rebecca closing her eyes.

Lily crying.

Trevor stopped pretending.

“You recorded me?”

Daniel looked at him coldly.

“No. You exposed yourself.”

Trevor suddenly changed tactics.

He dropped his angry expression.

“Rebecca, please. Let’s not destroy our family over one mistake.”
