Chapter 3: The Woman Who Knew Too Much

Graham demanded answers.

Celeste finally revealed the truth.

She had not been Eleanor’s enemy.

She had been her secret protector.

Years ago, Eleanor discovered that Graham’s own brother, Victor Vale, had created a system to manipulate everyone around him.

Victor controlled information.

He controlled memories.

He controlled what people believed.

And Celeste had been planted near Graham because Eleanor needed someone close enough to protect him.

But there was one problem.

Celeste had made one mistake.

She fell in love with Graham.

And when Graham returned home and saw Ava injured beside the mirror

She knew everything was about to collapse.

“I never wanted Ava hurt,” Celeste whispered.

“She found the mirror because Victor wanted her to.”

Graham’s expression changed.

“Victor?”

Before Celeste could answer

The mansion lights went out.

A single message appeared on every television screen.

YOU WERE ALWAYS EASY TO PREDICT, GRAHAM.

A distorted voice followed.

“You followed the exact path I designed.”

Graham stared at the screen.

Victor.

May you like

His own brother.

The man he trusted most.
