The surgeon listed beside Claire's operation wasn't Daniel.

Samuel looked exhausted.

"They lost careers."

"And some lost their licenses after anonymous complaints."

Samuel rubbed his face.

"I was afraid."

Claire overheard the conversation from the hallway.
