CHAPTER 1 — The Truth Behind The Mark

The entire school was silent after what happened in the restroom.

Nobody understood how Emily Carter, the quiet girl everyone ignored, had suddenly become the most feared person in the building.

The rumors spread faster than the truth.

Some students said she was dangerous.

Others said she was a monster.

But nobody knew what Emily was feeling.

Because inside...

she was terrified.

That night, Emily sat alone in her bedroom, staring at her reflection in the mirror.

The red glow in her eyes had disappeared.

But the fear remained.

She touched her forehead where the word "LOSER" had been written.

The mark was gone.

But the pain wasn't.

For years, Emily had been bullied because she was different.

She never fought back.

She never defended herself.

She believed staying quiet would make the pain disappear.

But now...

something inside her had awakened.

A power she couldn't explain.

A power that appeared when she was pushed too far.

Suddenly, the old necklace around her neck began glowing.

Emily froze.

She had worn that necklace since she was a baby.

Her mother always told her:

"Never lose this. It belongs to your family."

But Emily never knew why.

As she touched the necklace, a strange vision appeared.

A woman she had never seen before.

A woman with the same glowing red eyes.

Her mother.

Emily stepped back in shock.

"Who are you?"

The vision disappeared.

But one sentence remained in her mind.

"When they try to break you... remember who you are."

The next morning, Emily returned to school.

Everyone stared.

The same people who laughed at her yesterday now moved away when she walked past.

Even Victoria, the blonde bully, avoided eye contact.

But Emily noticed something.

Victoria wasn't acting confident anymore.

She looked scared.

During lunch, Emily found a folded piece of paper inside her locker.

Only three words were written:

"They are coming."

Emily looked around.

Someone was watching her.

A man in a black coat stood at the end of the hallway.

When their eyes met...

he whispered:

"Finally."

Emily's heart stopped.

Because the man had the same red glow in his eyes.
