Part 2: The Secret Buried Beneath the Hospital

The revelation inside the Imperial Hotel changed Victoria’s entire world.

For thirty years, she had believed she was an only child.

For thirty years, she had carried the memory of a perfect childhood surrounded by wealth, love, and privilege.

But in a single night, everything she knew became a question.

And standing in front of her was the answer.

Her twin sister.

Isabel.

The woman who had spent her entire life searching for a family she thought no longer existed.

After the emotional reunion, Victoria took Isabel away from the crowd and brought her to her private apartment.

For the first time in her life, Victoria looked at someone and saw herself.

Not the powerful businesswoman.

Not the woman everyone admired.

Just a sister who had been missing half of her soul.

“I don’t understand,” Victoria whispered while holding the old locket.

“How could something like this happen? How could someone take my sister away from me?”

Isabel lowered her eyes.

“Maybe because nobody was looking for me.”

The words hit Victoria harder than anything else.

Because they were true.

While Victoria grew up in a mansion, Isabel grew up moving between orphanages, never knowing where she belonged.

Victoria had received everything.

Isabel had received nothing.

But the truth was far more dangerous than they imagined.

The elderly woman who revealed the secret introduced herself as Elena.

She had been a nurse at the hospital where the twins were born.

And she had carried the guilt for thirty years.

“There was someone who wanted this secret buried,” Elena confessed.

“A powerful man who controlled the hospital.”

Victoria frowned.

“Who?”

Elena hesitated.

Then she said the name that made Victoria freeze.

“Richard Valmont.”

The name was familiar.

Richard Valmont was one of the most influential businessmen in the country.

A man respected by politicians and feared by his enemies.

But there was something nobody knew.

Thirty years ago, Richard was the hospital director.

And on the night of the fire, he was hiding a terrible crime.

Elena explained that Richard had changed medical records, bribed employees, and created a false death certificate for one of the babies.

Why?

Because the hospital had illegally sold newborn children through a secret adoption network.

And Victoria and Isabel were two of the children who became victims.

“The fire was not an accident,” Elena whispered.

“It was meant to destroy the evidence.”

Victoria felt her blood turn cold.

Someone had stolen her sister.

Someone had erased her existence.

And someone had lived peacefully for thirty years because of that lie.

But Richard Valmont made one mistake.

He never destroyed the locket.

Because he never believed the truth would come back.
