Only 48 hours after her wedding, Camila Santillán sat at the breakfast table inside the luxurious Santillán mansion, surrounded by the people who were supposed to become her family.
She had entered that house believing love was enough.
She had believed Rodrigo loved her.
She had believed his family respected her.
But that morning, everything she thought she knew disappeared.
Her sister-in-law, Valeria, finished eating and pushed her plate aside.
“Camila, clean this up,” she said coldly.
Camila looked at her with confusion.
“Excuse me?”
Valeria smiled.
“You heard me. You’re the new wife. Isn’t that what wives are for?”
The entire table watched.
Camila remained calm.
“I don’t mind helping, but everyone can clean their own dishes.”
The smile disappeared from Valeria’s face.
Before Camila could say another word…
SMACK.
Rodrigo’s hand hit her across the face.
The room froze.
His mother, Beatriz, didn’t look shocked.
She only sighed.
“Rodrigo did the right thing. A woman who challenges her husband on the second day of marriage is asking for problems.”
Camila touched her cheek.
No tears.
No screaming.
No begging.
She simply looked around the table and understood something.
These people had never welcomed her.
They had only wanted what she could provide.
Slowly, she removed her wedding ring.
Rodrigo laughed.
“Are you seriously trying to threaten me?”
Camila placed the ring on the table.
“No.”
She picked up her phone.
“I’m ending something you never deserved.”
She sent one message.
"Execute Protocol Black. Effective immediately."
Thirty seconds later…
Black SUVs entered the mansion gates.
