Chapter 4 - THE WOMAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH

I called the pediatrician immediately.
The truth came out within minutes.
Kate had been controlling everything.
Appointments.
School communication.
Medical information.
Even my children’s calls with me.
“She always said you were too busy,” the doctor told me.
Those words destroyed me.
Because they were partly true.
I was busy.
I was building a company.
I was making money.
I was providing.
But I wasn’t there.
Kate used my absence against me.
That night, I searched every room in the house.
Then I found something hidden inside Kate’s bedroom.
A folder.
My name was written on it.
Inside were printed emails.
My schedule.
My meetings.
My travel dates.
Every time I was away.
Kate had been tracking when I would not be home.
But one document made my blood run cold.
It was a letter.

Written before Emily died.
And Kate had kept it hidden.
