CHAPTER 3: THE MAN WHO STOLE THEIR LIVES

CHAPTER 3: THE MAN WHO STOLE THEIR LIVES

Nico uncovered the first clue.

A name.

Victor Moretti.

Dante’s former business partner.

The man who disappeared seven years ago.

“He was there the night Elena died,” Nico said.

Dante stared at the file.

“Why didn’t I know?”

“Because someone erased everything.”

Dante smiled coldly.

A dangerous smile.

“Someone powerful.”

That night, Dante visited Victor’s old warehouse.

The guards were waiting.

They never got the chance.

Dante walked inside alone.

Victor appeared from the shadows.

“You finally found her.”

Dante stopped.

“You knew?”

Victor laughed.

“For seven years.”

The words made Dante’s blood freeze.

“You knew Elena was alive?”

“Yes.”

“Where are my children?”

Victor smiled.

“Safe.”

Dante stepped forward.

“No one keeps my family from me.”

Victor laughed.

“You still don’t understand.”

He pressed a button.

A screen turned on.

A video appeared.

Dante saw Elena.

Seven years earlier.

Crying.

Begging.

And behind her…

a man wearing Dante’s ring.

Dante’s face changed.

Because the man looked exactly like him.
