The ballroom had never been this silent.
Hundreds of powerful people stood beneath crystal chandeliers, dressed in designer gowns and expensive suits, yet not one person dared to move.

The woman in black.
Her heels clicked slowly against the marble floor as she walked through the crowd.
Everyone stepped aside.
Everyone remembered the rumors.
