Chapter 4 — The Ghost Walks In

Night settled over the old biker bar.

Rain hammered against the windows.

Nobody slept.

The boy sat wrapped in an old leather jacket, exhausted, while Jax remained near the entrance with a shotgun resting across his knees.

At exactly 2:17 a.m., a motorcycle engine echoed through the empty highway.

Once.

Then silence.

Jax stood.

Every biker instinctively stepped aside.

The front door opened.

A man dressed entirely in black walked inside.

His hair was damp from the rain.

His face carried the exhaustion of countless battles.

Yet his eyes remained impossibly calm.

The boy looked up.

He didn't recognize the man.

But somehow...

He wasn't afraid.

The stranger's gaze landed on the child.

Then on the black envelope.

Finally, on Jax.

"You kept your promise."

Jax nodded once.

"I almost didn't."

The man slowly walked toward the boy.

He knelt until they were eye level.

For the first time in years, the legendary assassin's hands trembled.

"What... is your name?"

"Ethan."

The boy hesitated before asking the question he'd carried his entire life.

"Are... are you really my dad?"

John Wick couldn't answer immediately.

Instead, he reached into his pocket and pulled out an old photograph.

It was identical to the one Ethan had carried.

One remained with the father.

The other had stayed with the mother.

John gently placed his forehead against the boy's.

"I should have found you first."

Tears filled Ethan's eyes as John wrapped him in a quiet embrace.

Around them, the entire biker bar looked away, giving the father and son the privacy neither had ever expected to have.

Outside, another storm was coming.

But inside that old bar, the chase was over.

For the first time in eight years...

John Wick wasn't fighting to survive.

May you like

He was fighting for his family.

The End.
