Chapter 3: The Mansion Speaks

"You broke into my home," Grayson shouted as Dominic entered the library.

"This is private property."

Dominic never looked at him.

His eyes found Harper first.

Blood covered one side of her face.

Her right hand had already begun turning purple.

She was trying not to cry.

She was still apologizing.

"I'm sorry..."

Dominic knelt beside her.

"You have nothing to apologize for."

He removed his overcoat and gently wrapped it around her shoulders before examining her swollen hand.

Without another word, he nodded once.

Two physicians entered the room.

Harper blinked.

"They're with me," Dominic said quietly.

One doctor carefully photographed every injury before touching her.

The second doctor examined the broken fingers.

"They were crushed intentionally," he said.

Every word echoed through the silent library.

Grayson's attorney stepped forward.

"My client denies—"

"Save it."

Dominic finally turned toward him.

"The house has already testified."

Everyone frowned.

Then dozens of television screens throughout Ravenshore suddenly came to life.

The ballroom projector switched on by itself.

Security monitors lit every hallway.

The hidden surveillance system Grayson believed only he controlled had been remotely unlocked.

Every guest watched in stunned silence.

Video after video filled the screens.

Paige slashing Harper's face with the broken champagne flute.

Celeste ordering servants not to help.

Grayson trapping Harper's hand inside the antique desk drawer.

The sickening crack.

Her scream.

His laughter.

Then another recording.

One no one expected.

Months of hidden footage.

Years of abuse.

Every lie.

Every assault.

Every forged medical report.

Every bribe.

Every threat.

The mansion had remembered everything.

Grayson slowly staggered backward.

"No..."

May you like

His voice barely existed anymore.

"No..."
