Chapter 2: The Truth Victor Tried To Bury

The mansion that once represented power suddenly felt like a prison.
Victor paced across the room, desperately trying to control the situation.
“You disappeared twelve years ago.”
Isabella looked at him calmly.
“Because you tried to erase me.”
Marina stood silently, holding her stomach.
She couldn’t understand.
Why had Victor hidden his first wife?
Why had he built an entire life around a lie?
Isabella opened another file.
“Victor wasn’t just hiding a marriage.”
She looked at Marina.
“He was hiding what happened to our daughter.”
Victor’s face turned white.
“Stop.”
For the first time, his voice sounded weak.
Marina felt a chill.
“What daughter?”
Isabella’s eyes filled with pain.
“Our daughter was born eighteen years ago.”
She took a deep breath.
“And Victor told me she died.”
The room went silent.
“But she didn’t.”
Marina covered her mouth.
Victor stepped forward.
“Enough!”
But Isabella continued.
“She was taken away from me because Victor wanted complete control of my inheritance. He created a fake death certificate and paid people to keep the truth hidden.”
Marina looked at Victor in disbelief.
“You would do that?”
Victor’s expression changed.
The charming husband everyone knew disappeared.
Replaced by the man Marina had feared all along.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about.”
Isabella smiled sadly.
“I knew you would say that.”
She pulled out her phone.
A recording began playing.
Victor’s own voice filled the room.
A conversation where he admitted everything.
The fake documents.
The stolen money.
The plan to silence anyone who discovered the truth.
Marina stepped back.
She finally understood.
She wasn’t the first woman Victor tried to destroy.
She was just the latest.
Victor rushed toward the phone.

But before he could reach it, the mansion doors opened again.
This time, it was the police.
