CHAPTER 3 — The Woman Who Took Back Her Name

Six months later...

Montrose Global reached new heights.

Under Isabella’s leadership, the company expanded worldwide.

But she changed something else.

The way people saw power.

She created foundations.

Helped struggling families.

Invested in education.

She built the kind of legacy her father always wanted.

Not one based on fear.

One based on respect.

Meanwhile...

Damian Cross disappeared from society.

The mansion was sold.

The luxury cars were gone.

The empire he once bragged about became nothing more than a memory.

One rainy afternoon...

Damian saw Isabella at a charity event.

She stood on stage.

Confident.

Respected.

Happy.

Not the woman he abandoned.

A woman reborn.

After the event, he approached her.

“Isabella.”

She turned.

For a moment, they simply looked at each other.

“I heard about everything you've done,” Damian said.

“You changed.”

She smiled slightly.

“No.”

“I finally became who I always was.”

Damian looked down.

“I lost everything because of my pride.”

Isabella nodded.

“Yes.”

“You did.”

A long silence followed.

Then Damian whispered:

“I hope one day you can remember the good times.”

Isabella looked at him.

“I do remember them.”

“That is why losing you hurt so much.”

Damian’s eyes filled with regret.

“But I also remember the woman I became after I left.”

She stepped back.

“And I will never lose her again.”

Years later...

A journalist asked Isabella one question:

“What was the hardest moment of your life?”

She thought carefully.

Then answered:

“The night I realized the person I loved didn't see my value.”

“And what was the greatest moment?”

She smiled.

“The morning I realized I didn't need anyone else to prove it.”

The world remembered the story of Isabella Montrose.

The wife who was humiliated.

The woman who was underestimated.

The person they thought had nothing.

But the truth was simple.

She never lost her power.

She only stopped giving it away.

And Damian Cross learned the lesson too late:

A person’s worth is not measured by what others are willing to give them.

May you like

It is revealed by what they still have when everyone else walks away.

THE END.
