He Found His Children Serving the Family Party—Then Asked Who Paid for Everything

Thomas walked into the garden—and saw his three children being treated like servants at the party he had secretly paid for.

Rebecca stood beneath a mountain of dirty plates, tears running down her face.

Eight-year-old Samuel trembled under the weight of a tray packed with glasses.

Six-year-old Jacob was on his knees, scrubbing stains from a table while their cousins laughed and recorded everything on their phones.

“Dad…”

Rebecca’s voice cracked.

“Grandma said we have to serve everyone.”

Thomas crossed the lawn in seconds and grabbed Samuel’s tray before it crashed to the ground.

Samuel’s hands were shaking.

“Grandpa said we’re not allowed to eat until every guest is finished.”

Thomas’s expression hardened.

He pulled the filthy rag from Jacob’s fingers and gathered all three children against his chest.

Then Robert stormed toward him.

Helen remained beside the untouched birthday cake, watching with cold approval.

Robert pointed at the children.

“Those filthy brats should be grateful we even allowed them at this party!”

Thomas slowly released his children.

He stepped forward.

Then he struck Robert once across the face.

Robert stumbled backward and crashed directly into the cake.

The garden fell silent.

Guests froze with glasses halfway to their mouths.

Phones lowered.

Thomas looked down at Robert, his voice dangerously calm.

“Do you honestly have no idea who paid for this entire party?”

Robert’s face went pale.

Because Thomas had not only paid for the food, the decorations, and the estate.

By the end of the night, he would decide who still belonged in the family.
