Everyone told Noah his mother died in the fire.

Everyone told Noah his mother died in the fire.

Then he found letters she had written months after her funeral.

There had been a sealed coffin.

A gravestone with her name.

A funeral Noah still remembered in nightmares.

So how could his dead mother be writing letters?

After the fire, Noah’s father barely came home.

Noah and his eight-year-old sister, Lily, were left in the care of Vanessa—the beautiful, elegant woman who slowly began replacing their mother in every family photograph.

But Lily kept hearing something inside the mansion walls.

Knocking.

Three slow taps.

Always after midnight.

“Someone’s in there,” Lily whispered.

The adults called it grief.

The family doctor called it trauma.

He gave her stronger medication.

Their father stopped answering Noah’s desperate calls.

Then one night, Noah broke into Vanessa’s locked desk.

Inside was a bundle of letters.

He recognized the handwriting instantly.

His mother’s.

Every letter had been written after the date carved into her gravestone.

And every one ended with the same desperate sentence:

“Please don’t let them erase me.”

Noah grabbed the letters and ran to find Lily.

He was too late.

Vanessa already had her cornered against the wall.

Lily was crying.

Vanessa held a heavy glass bottle above her head.

“Dead children keep secrets best.”

Noah threw himself over his sister.

“You already stole our father,” he shouted.

“You won’t take her too.”

Vanessa froze.

Then she grabbed Noah by the chin and smiled.

“Say that again…”

Her voice dropped to a whisper.

“…and your mother dies first.”

Noah stopped breathing.

Not because Vanessa had threatened him.

Because she had just admitted the impossible.

His mother was alive.

Now Noah and Lily have only one chance to find her.

Their search leads them behind the mansion walls, through hidden rooms, altered medical records, secret surveillance footage, and evidence tied to a family fortune built on innocent lives.

But the deeper Noah digs, the worse the truth becomes.

Because Vanessa may not have created the conspiracy.

She may only be protecting it.

And the father Noah has been desperately trying to reach?

He may already know exactly where their mother is.

Worse…

May you like

he may have helped bury her alive.
